Is He a Loving God?

Updated: Jun 27, 2018

I’ve heard so many times that people don’t understand how a loving God could send anyone to hell. That’s backward thinking.

Remember that rapist who only got six months in prison for his crimes? Did you object to such a lax sentence? Are you a loving person?

God is interested in justice, the same as you – probably more than you. A loving and JUST God will mete out punishment where it’s warranted. Since nobody is perfect, we all deserve hell. That's justice.

All WE have to do is accept that we deserve nothing but punishment, acknowledge that we’re not good enough, and admit Jesus died for our contract violations. That’s it. Paid in full.

Why would we want a just God to let people off who never had the decency to accept their own shortcomings? If someone rejects God their whole life, why should they qualify for heaven? Where’s the justice in that?

To God, our best is useless. Anything not pure is impure, right? Alabaster and eggshell are not white. The only way to God is to be perfect – pure. And none of us qualify.

So, at the end of your life, if you haven’t accepted that Jesus died for your “alabaster” life, why would you think you’re covered by Jesus? Why do you expect heaven when you deserve hell?

To love means justice is served. God is love, so justice must be served.
